House Renovation
96 Victoria Park Road – Is a property that was completely gutted by a fire caused by an electrical fault. We were procured by Beeches design to undertake remedial works to the property as an insurance claim.
We worked in close contact with both the contracts administrator and the owner of the house to ensure the best possible outcome for all parties. Our main remit was to create a light filled space ensuring that we removed any evidence of smoke / fire damaged within the building. We removed a large amount of asbestos from the property during the works, following all regulations and ensuring the health safety and welfare of the surrounding public, the tradesmen working on the property and the owner of the property. All ceilings were replaced within the property along with all plaster to ground floor walls. The staircase was protected using fire resistant boards, all to building regulations.
To ensure the client obtained the optimum amount of space available, we consulted him in re-designing the kitchen and conservatory. All windows within the property were replaced with UPVC double glazed units along with external doors. The property received a full re-wire and a brand new central heating installation, running from an energy saving ‘A-rated’ combination boiler, further supplemented by Rockwool insulation being fitted within the loft. The property received a new bathroom suite including a shower, new WC suite and corner wash hand basin to the downstairs WC and was finished off by being fully decorated. The property was handed over on time in May 2009 to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
